After several years in M&A at Morgan Stanley in London, Ander returned to Spain to launch in 2009 Ticketbis, a startup with operations in 45+ countries that scaled to 400+ employees, ~€100M in revenues with 100%+ YoY growth rates and profitable operations, before eBay acquired it in 2016, in what is still today a major success in Spain’s tech ecosystem.
Following the acquisition, Ander remained as the Head of International at Stubhub ($5B business unit) for two years.
From 2018 to 2021, in addition to All Iron Ventures, Ander launched a couple startups (Libere, with over 200+ employees; and Aplanet – €1.5M ARR SaaS with 100% growth rate), and a €150M REIT business that is listed in the stock market.
Since 2021, he is fully focused on Acurio Ventures (AV).

Just before joining AV in 2022, Kate was the UK CEO of Jobandtalent (one of Spain’s main unicorns), where she grew revenue 80x in four years to €40M/month, leading a team of 500 people.
Prior to that, Kate developed extensive operational experience. She was the CEO of the online subscription service for women's beauty products Glossybox (which she helped launch for Rocket Internet), the co-founder of the food hospitality company The Continental Pantry, and the Head of Strategy (working for the VC fund Better Capital) of fashion company Jaeger.
After graduating from Oxford, Kate was an Investment Analyst in Goldman Sachs’ private equity team in London and part of Credit Suisse’s wealth management team in Zurich

Immediately before joining the VC industry, Diego worked for several years in the startup ecosystem. He was country manager and VP of Business Development at CrossLend, a German fintech backed by renowned VCs. Previously, he was VP of Growth at NativeAd, a Spanish startup in the digital advertising space.
He started his career at leading law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a lawyer focused on private equity, M&A, and corporate financing. After getting is MBA from NYU Stern in the U.S., he was director of business development and marketing in Spain and the United States at Linklaters, another top international law firm. He also promoted as COO the Spanish Private Equity & Venture Capital Journal, his family-owned project and a well-known reference in the sector.
After 15 years away, he returns to his hometown of Bilbao to kick off AV from the outset in early 2018.

Before starting AV at the very beginning in early 2018, Hugo spent several years building his own path in VC: initially building his angel portfolio, launching a venture builder and raising his first fund.
Previously he worked at Mercapital, a leading Spanish private equity firm where he participated in the acquisition of several companies and opened the Brazil office, where he worked for several years.
He began his career as a strategic consultant at Palladium/Monitor Group and worked for the Spanish embassy's commercial office in Brazil. He is also an airline pilot and flight instructor.

Prior to AV, Piotr was an Investment Manager at Beringea, a generalist venture capital fund with ~$800m in AUM and offices in London and the US, focused on Series A/B investments. While at Beringea, Piotr launched a Central and Eastern European (CEE) diaspora network in London, connecting 200+ VCs and founders.
Before joining Beringea, Piotr helped build the Private Capital Markets team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, supporting growth-stage companies with fundraising. He began his career in the EMEA Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, where he advised on number of M&A, Equity and Debt transactions worth over $25bn.
Piotr has lived in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Latvia, and Poland.
He holds an MSc in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics, with a semester at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from the Cracow University of Economics.
Outside of work, Piotr loves to travel. He's a huge fan of live music—The National is his all-time favourite band—and rarely passes up a good concert. He’s passionate about ice hockey (New York Rangers fan), and has recently gotten into watching cycling. He’s happiest when he's out in nature, whether hiking or just off the grid.

After finishing her studies, Ainhoa joined the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) area at EY in Madrid. She completed a rotation program there, across all TAS departments (M&A, FDD, Valuations...). Upon completing the program, she joined the Restructuring & Debt Advisory department as an analyst. She continued her professional career as an associate in the Financial Advisory area at Deloitte in Bilbao.
She holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Deusto Business School (Bilbao, Spain).

Miguel is a graduate in Business Administration and Management and Industrial Technologies Engineering (Extraordinary End of Degree Award) from the University of Deusto.
Subsequently, he joined AZ Capital Investment Bank in Madrid, where he developed tasks such as building financial models, preparing business plans, and negotiating clauses in sale and purchase agreements... Miguel has also participated in numerous national and international M&A processes (sell-side and buy-side), and in advising on IPOs for companies from the infrastructure and technology sectors to the health sector.
Miguel is passionate about sports (crossfit, running, swimming...) and the world of wine. He loves reading and learning about all kinds of new areas of knowledge (investment, geopolitics, history, business models...).

Prior to joining AV, Kiril was an Investor at Greyhound Capital, a $1.5bn AUM global investment firm focused on late-stage growth and public market opportunities.
Before Greyhound, he was part of the founding team that established the technology investing practice at L Catterton, a $37bn private equity firm. Kiril began his career in the M&A Group at Citigroup in London, where he advised on public and private transactions totaling over $10bn.
Kiril holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Warwick.
Outside of work, he is an avid runner and enjoys listening to podcasts on modern history.

Luis has built a dedicated career in Investor Relations and its development, focused on adapting the way things work within and beyond the investment professional’s universe to bring it closer to investors. He is passionate about client experience and the alternative investment sector.
Prior to joining AV, Luis spent six years in Arcano Capital’s Investor Relations department. He has managed Investor Relations efforts across a wide range of clients and alternative investment strategies. He has also worked at A&G Private Bank and BNP Paribas.

Prior to joining AV, Eneko spent almost a decade working in top-tier law firms as an M&A lawyer. He has advised private equity houses, VC funds, and industrial players on complex domestic and cross-border deals, across a wide spectrum of sectors, such as finance, logistics, education, pharma, cybersecurity, insurtech, real estate and energy.
Eneko holds a Law Degree and Diploma in International Business Law from the University of Navarra and a dual Masters Degree in Law and International Business Law from ESADE.
In addition to his legal practice, Eneko also collaborated as an adjunct professor at the University Carlos III of Madrid, where he taught courses in the Master's Degree in Legal Practice and the Master's Degree in Business Law.

Prior to joining AV, Matías was CFO at Callao, the global Fintech enabler. He is a seasoned professional with +18 years experience, having worked in several positions within the startup ecosystem, as an investor, operator and advisor.
He was previously Director & Head of Alternative Investments at CZIB, a leading multiservice IB operating in Argentina and before that he was responsible for the finance department in Argentina for Nubank, LatAm’s largest neobank (~100m clients). He was also Investment Professional at Amancay Partners, a NY-based LatAm-focused PE Fund and CFO of Variv Capital, a Mexican-based VC & PE firm. Matías began his career in Investment Banking, advising in various industries across LatAm.
Matías holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the Universidad de San Andrés and an MBA with honors from IE Business School.
He has lived in Argentina, Sweden, Mexico, Switzerland and Spain and has worked across LatAm, Europe and USA.

Alberto holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid, together with a Master’s Degree in Financial Management and Planning from EAE Business School, complemented by executive training in Controlling and Corporate Finance (CCA). He is particularly interested in the intersection between finance, technology, AI, and automation, with a strong focus on building scalable processes.
He has developed his career in finance and FP&A across fast-growing and international environments. Before joining Acurio Ventures, Alberto worked at SEUR, Sacyr and, most recently, at Poke House, where he spent more than five years supporting the company’s growth from its early stage in Spain to a multi-country international business, eventually leading the FP&A and Finance areas across 9 countries.
Outside of work, Alberto is passionate about sports, health, and performance, especially functional strength training, skiing, running, and hiking. He also enjoys travelling, discovering new business models and consumer concepts, and continuously learning about investing, technology, geopolitics, and entrepreneurship.

Through his involvement in platform development and strategic planning for his company, Daniel developed a keen interest in the VC industry, leading him to join AV as a member of the finance and operations team.
Daniel holds a degree in LEINN (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation) from Mondragón University in Bilbao.

The latter half of his career has been focused on software engineering in large corporations like Vodafone and Sage where, despite the narrow focus of his role, he kept the same broad interest in diverse technologies.
His recent role in the Sage chatbot brings significant expertise in the use of LLMs and other AI-based tools to support business needs.

Prior, he worked at Grupo Intercom, consulted for McKinsey, and audited for PWC. He holds a business degree from the University of Deusto and an MIT MBA.
Known as a business angel in Spain, he has extensive connections and has been an AIV venture partner since 2019.
